To extract the precious energy source known as “Black Aether,” humanity awakened a monstrous being that had long slumbered within a black hole, the Kraken. Civilization could not withstand the Kraken’s wrath and was nearly annihilated. Now, a thousand years later, the creature is worshiped as a god by the powerful religious organization Ecclesia, which rules over the remnants of humankind.
Yet, there are those who refuse to submit, daring smugglers known as “Scavengers”, who risk their lives mining Black Aether for profit. Though she poses as the ship’s innocent cook, Eden, when the Pulsar draws the Kraken’s attention, she is forced to reveal her true identity in order to save the ship.
