Cheongrim, an ethnic Korean from China, works under his cousin Sikwon, a mid-level boss in a Shenyang crime syndicate. Tasked with dangerous jobs, he lives a precarious life. One day, while collecting a gambling debt, he is offered a collateral—a woman named Kim Ok, a North Korean defector, bound and helpless in a warehouse. Taking her back to his hometown, Cheongrim finds himself slowly drawn to her, while Kim Ok, initially wary, begins to trust him.
